Welcome back to episode 3 of this Celtic European Elite master league. We come into this episode third in the league, but joint top in terms of points after racking up three wins and a draw. The structure of this league means that every game is a big one and next up is no different. A home tie against Atletico Madrid. Highlights and stats below.

Another brilliant performance and result. Pretty much dominated the game from start to finish. Even when Madrid did manage to scrape a goal back we went straight back up the pitch and took the lead again. I am still a little worried about squad depth but with the cup run being cut short there shouldn’t be too many times where we need to play more than one game a week.

Next up is the unbeaten Bayern Munich. I think part of the success so far has been down to teams attacking me and leaving gaps at the back but unfortunately it seems like Bayern are happy to sit in and defend. Let’s see if we can keep the good run going. I have went with what I believe is my strongest lineup at the moment.

That was tough going! To be honest I’m happy to get past that game without a loss. The draw isn’t the worst result and still keeps me joint top on points, third on goal difference. Poulsen is delivering constantly up top and Kehrer is a monster at the back. My only worry is when I have to rotate the squad at the minute, although being out of the cup and not worrying about Europe definitely helps.

Coming into the next game Ajax are bottom of the league so as it’s a midweek game it’s time to rotate a little. I have brought in Zagadou to central defence and swapped out Sanches and Vilhena in midfield for Dahoud and Maitland-Niles. Hopefully it doesn’t disrupt the team too much.

Crazy game! Raced to a 2-0 lead and then let is slip to 2-2 before the half time whistle even blew. After half time I took the lead again with a brilliant Poulsen chip before Dembele doubled the lead on the 66th minute. I still wasn’t able to fully see the game out though and conceded one right at the death. A win is a win though, 4-3 or not.

That’ll do me for episode three. I’ll have another two episodes in this format and then likely another live stream. I enjoy doing the games live but real life makes it tough some time. As always hit me up in the comments or on Twitter @VizualDze with feedback or suggestions.

Craig started gaming at 4 years old on the NES and has been hooked ever since. Trophies and achievements have only made him fall deeper down the rabbit hole. Will play almost anything, although particularly partial to anything involving stealth and silenced pistols. Football game enthusiast. RIP PES.
