Episode 5 of the Celtic European Elite League series brings us league matches against PSG, Monaco and finally Man Utd. You know the script by now. The games don’t get any easier.

PSG come in to this game off the back of a 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich and sit 6th in a tight league. This match is being played midweek so I only had three days to prepare from the last outing against Roma so I have been forced into some changes due to fatigue. Zagadou in for Ajer, Dahoud and Armstrong in for Sanches and Vilhena, on the right wing Olly Burke is in for Forrest and finally Dembele comes in for Poulsen. Stats and highlights below.

A superb 2-1 win away from home in Paris! Also great to see Dembele step up to the top table and get two goals. We were hanging on a bit at the end but that’s to be expected. Coming out of that game we still sit in second place, 2pts behind the leaders Barcelona.

Next up is a home game against Monaco. Again it’s a short time between games so more changes have had to be made. Sessegnon and Pereira come in at full back, Rogic in attacking midfield and Bergwijn at left wing. The full XI is at the start of the video followed by the highlights.

A really frustrating game. Dominated the chances but just couldn’t get the ball in the net. I guess in the end I should be happy with the draw given I went 1-0 down in injury time, but the team showed great character to go straight up the park and equalise. I thought the goal being given as an O.G was a bit harsh, but whatever.

Last up this episode is Man Utd. Just like PSG they come in to this game off the back of a draw against Bayern. By their standards they have had a poor start to the season sitting in 12th place before a ball is kicked. A full week to prepare has allowed me to field my best XI. On to the highlights!

Well that might have been one of the most back and fourth games of PES I have ever had. 3-0 down within 17 minutes, the boys finally turned up and brought it back to 3-2 going in to the break. The second 45 the went up another notch and we went from 3-2 to 5-3 up. In the end United brought it back to 5-4 but it wasn’t enough to stop my rampant Hoops team.

Well that wraps up episode five. I’ll be back tomorrow with episode 6 and that will be followed by a live stream for episode 7. Leave a comment or grab me on Twitter @VizualDze.

Will play almost anything, although particularly partial to anything involving stealth and silenced pistols. Football game enthusiast. RIP PES.
