The Walking Dead: Final Season Will End With Episode 2

1 Min Read

Following news earlier that Telltale Games has had to part with all but 25 of it’s 250 staff members, news has now surfaced that not only have new projects like The Wolf Among Us Season Two been cancelled, but even the ongoing Final Season of The Walking Dead will now not be able to be completed.

Episode two of the popular narrative driven adventure game releases this Tuesday and will be the final release from the studio. The season was originally scheduled to have four episodes and anyone who played episode one was forced to buy the season pass (likely in an attempt to garner enough money to complete the season). Now that episode two is going to be the impromptu ending, it is likely to leave fans with more questions than answers.

I would imagine in some form we will see the end of Clementine’s story. Whether it be in a video on the likes of YouTube or something I am not sure, but given the length of this journey I feel pretty safe in saying there are people at that studio with a strong enough connection to the world they built that they will want the world to see how it all ends.

The last thing that needs to be addressed is from a legal standpoint. Anyone who played episode one did so by purchasing a season pass, which is £18.99. This means customers will only be receiving half of what they paid for, which I can imagine is going to result in an outcry and buyers demanding money back. The problem is, if the developer had the money, the studio wouldn’t be shutting down.

I will be following this story closely and will report back as soon as any more news is available. Until then keep up with my updates and thoughts on Twitter @VizualDze.
