An Update On Our Last Of Us Part II Coverage

Hi it’s Craig (or VDZE) here, owner of VDZE Media. I just wanted to update you all on our coverage plans for Last of Us Part II. As things stand we currently do not have a review code for the game so it is highly unlikely that we will be in a position to post our review when the embargo lifts on June 12th at 8:01am.

We do however have a writing team member (Jock) who plans to basically marathon the game over release weekend (June 20th and 21st) and have a review ready for you on the Sunday or Monday night. This will all depend on his ability to get through the game on time so please allow for slight variations on that time, but rest assured it will be with you as soon as possible.

Buy on Amazon UK

Following that, I will be doing an editorial with my thoughts on the game a week or so later. The original Last of Us was a special game for me and my partner and we want to experience the sequel together as well. Unlike me, she chooses not to sit up till 2am every morning playing games and therefore we will be doing it in 3-4 hour chunks per night. I don’t want our readers to have to wait over a week after release for our review, so this seems like the best way to do it.

The Last of Us Part II is likely to have loads of major talking points and provide us with a heap of varying opinions, so getting takes from different people is exactly what I am looking for. I will also be soliciting questions from our readers about the game that I will cover in my piece, which will contain spoilers.

Lastly remember our Last of Us Part II giveaway is still live on Twitter for over another week. To enter you simply need to retweet my pinned tweet and make sure you follow my account. Originally I had planned to get the game sent directly to the winners address but that seems to be causing issues so I will likely need to send it myself. Keep an eye out for more Last of Us related prizes in the coming weeks as well.

It's time for our #TheLastofUsPartII #GIVEAWAY.

To be in with the chance of winning simply RT this tweet and tag a friend. You must be following.

Craig started gaming at 4 years old on the NES and has been hooked ever since. Trophies and achievements have only made him fall deeper down the rabbit hole. Will play almost anything, although particularly partial to anything involving stealth and silenced pistols. Football game enthusiast. RIP PES.
