eFootball PES 2021 Is a Data Update

According to a listing that has appeared on the Microsoft Store, we aren’t getting a new iteration of Konami’s yearly football sim this summer. Instead, the listing is described as a season update. This suggests we will receive roster and kit updates, presumably along with some new scanned faces and the removal of both Inter and AC Milan.

Our Take: This is really disappointing news. It isn’t however at all surprising. In a normal year we would be a week or two away from the release of the demo, so considering Konami have been completely silent on the matter it’s safe to assume this is what we are getting. The most disappointing part is that while I’m sure there will be little gameplay tweaks, we now have to endure how eFootball PES 2020 plays on the pitch for another year.

Video Games Deluxe Making A New Rockstar VR Game

Developer Video Games Deluxe is beginning work on a new open-world VR game for Rockstar according to a Linkedin job listing. They previously did the work to convert LA Noire to VR in the form of the LA Noire VR Case Files, which was absolutely brilliant. What the game is remains to be seen, but it’s exciting nonetheless!

Our Take: I absolutely loved LA Noire and the VR Case Files game was one of the best VR titles I have played to date. There is a very real possibility this new game could either be in the Red Dead Redemption or Grand Theft Auto universe which is beyond exciting! Hopefully, we hear more over the coming year.

Ubisoft Give Us Dates!

Ubisoft Forward took place last night and we got some important dates revealed at the show. First up is Hyper Scape, which has now entered open beta on PC. A console release is simply listed as “coming soon”. Watch Dogs Legion will release October 29th, while Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will come less than a month later on November 17th. Next gen versions for Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed will follow once the new boxes are out. Far Cry 6 was the French outfits “one last thing” and a cool trailer revealed it will launch on February 18th, 2021.

Full Ubisoft Forward Livestream

Our Take: I was surprised that Watch Dogs is coming so soon. Especially given how close it is to Valhalla. That said the trailer looked incredible and I am really hyped to play it. I always love Assassin’s Creed so that has also shot high up my most anticipated list. We will have reviews for both games at launch. The location of the next Far Cry looked more populated which also really excited me. Hopefully that is the case.

Craig started gaming at 4 years old on the NES and has been hooked ever since. Trophies and achievements have only made him fall deeper down the rabbit hole. Will play almost anything, although particularly partial to anything involving stealth and silenced pistols. Football game enthusiast. RIP PES.
