Footage Of Cancelled Sucker Punch Game Prophecy Surfaces

1 Min Read

After finishing up the PlayStation 4’s Infamous entry, Sucker Punch actually started work on a Medieval style game called Prophecy. The game was far enough along that a 10-minute vertical slice was created, showing off some of the swordplay and traversal. This project was then cancelled and eventually became Ghost of Tsushima, which is evident from some of the combat mechanics and animations. Watch the video below.

Our Take: While I am ultimately glad we ended up with Ghost of Tsushima, this is a seriously cool 10-minute vertical slice. The game is clearly a little rough around the edges but it looked like it had serious potential. Hopefully this is something Sucker Punch keeps on the back burner and perhaps explores again in the future.
