In this edition of News Bytes for August 21st, 2020 we reveal the PS4 release date for The Suicide of Rachel Foster, get overly excited about the new map reveal in HITMAN 3 and marvel at the latest PlayStation 5 add. Enjoy!
The Suicide of Rachel Foster Launches Next Week
First-person narrative thriller The Suicide of Rachel Foster has got a PS4 release date and we don’t have long to wait. Developed by ONE-O-ONE Games and released on Steam back in February to “mostly positive” reviews, the game will go live on the PSN store on August 26th. For more info check the trailer below.
Our Take: I am unlikely to have time to check this one out at launch but I will be making a note of it for down the line as it looks good. It currently sits at a respectable 63 on Metacritic.
HITMAN 3 Adds Murder Mystery
Developer IO Interactive today unveiled a new level for the upcoming HITMAN 3 game. This one takes us to a mansion in the English countryside. What is first deemed a suicide turns into a murder mystery. The trailer gives off heavy vibes of Knives Out, one of 2019’s best films. HITMAN 3 launches in January 2021.
Our Take: When HITMAN 3 was announced I genuinely didn’t think I could get more excited about it. Then they announced that the whole thing would be playable in PSVR and my hype hit the roof. This reveal has heightened it even more though. I always loved Cluedo as a kid and this just looks brilliant in every way. I really hope you have to investigate the level to unveil whoever the killer is.
New PlayStation 5 Advert Out In The Wild
A new advert for the PlayStation 5 leaked out yesterday and was then made official by Sony on the PlayStation YouTube channel. You can view the advert below, which hypes the haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and 3D audio. Both models of the PlayStation 5 are currently scheduled for release Holiday 2020.
Our Take: This advert has me even more hyped! Everything I see about the PlayStation 5 and the Dual Sense controller I like. Adverts being released into the wild also give me more confidence that Sony is still planning to release during Holiday 2020. A delay would still definitely not surprise me though.
