Cyberpunk 2077 Delay Unlikely

It feels like in 2020 gamers are almost just waiting for the next delay. One of the biggest games of the year, Cyberpunk 2077, has been hit twice already. Because of this, it almost feels like fans won’t believe the game is actually coming until it has been downloaded onto their system. As reported by Video Games Chronicle via the company’s most recent investor’s call, president Adam Kiciński said;

“So yes, we are confirming and, well, actually today we started preparing for the final certification, so we’re very close”

This appears to rule out any more delays for the eagerly anticipated title, which will be music to gamer’s ears. We will, of course, keep you up to date with any changes, as well as when the game goes gold. Cyberpunk 2077 is set for release on current-gen (and possibly next-gen) hardware on November 19th.

Our Take: This is great news. Coming into 2020 Cyberpunk was one of my most anticipated games and that hasn’t changed. All the preview content I have seen has been strong and I am ready to dive headfirst into the world. Hopefully, it is able to live up to expectations.

Prince of Persia Remake Incoming

Rumours have sprouted all over the place about a Prince of Persia remake announcement being prepared for this Thursday’s Ubisoft Forward event. These rumours can often take on a life of their own, but the validity of this has been commented on by Jason Schreier, now of Bloomberg, you can bet there is no smoke without fire. Hints also suggest that we may not have to wait long to get our hands on the title either, with a late 2020 release date being touted.

Our Take: I really enjoyed the old Prince of Persia games and would absolutely take a remake. My issue here is that I want a new Splinter Cell game more, and I don’t see them announcing both on the one show. My assumption is that this ends with us stealth fans being left in the dark with our nightvision goggles once again.

So releasing these round-ups with what we feel is the most important news followed by our take on it let’s us add a twist on just a general copy and paste, click-bait news article.
