New Sniper Elite VR Trailer Drops

A new trailer dropped for the highly anticipated Sniper Elite VR. We still didn’t get a release date, but the trailer does end with the words coming soon – so hopefully we see it in 2020. You can view the latest trailer via the PlayStation YouTube channel below;

Our Take: I absolutely love Sniper Elite and PSVR, so a merging of the two has me really excited. It’s hard to know exactly how big the game will be but what they have shown off so far looks incredible. We will be all over this at launch, so look for a review on the site when the time comes.

PlayStation 5 Pre-Order Woes

Unless you have been living under a rock the last few days you will know that retailers jumped the gun on PlayStation 5 pre-orders, putting them live pretty much straight after the PS5 Showcase instead of the following day as Sony had stated.

Now, customers who ordered through Amazon and thought their pre-order was safe have been receiving emails saying that they aren’t guaranteed a unit at launch. There is certainly a chance that Sony will give some retailers confirmation of more stock and pre-orders will re-open, but it’s pretty clear that stock is going to be severely limited.

Our Take: I just knew this was going to happen. The writing has been on the wall for a while. I’m convinced that Sony held off on announcing the price and date so long in the hopes that Microsoft would delay the Xbox Series X | S and that would allow them more time. That didn’t happen though and now the pressure is too high to wait until 2021.

The worst part of this is you have scalpers hoovering up units all over the place that they will then unload late November for a sizeable profit. It’s disappointing but unavoidable. My hope would be that production increases, reducing the demand and therefore forcing these people to sell the consoles on at as close to market value as possible.

Will play almost anything, although particularly partial to anything involving stealth and silenced pistols. Football game enthusiast. RIP PES.
