Tom Holland as Nathan Drake

Tom Holland today released a picture of himself on set filming the Uncharted movie. Pictured below, this is the first look at how Naughty Dog’s iconic character will look when (if) the film ever sees the big screen. This is also assuming that cinemas are still a thing once this film is ready for the viewing public.

Our Take: For the first time, this film now actually feels like it may just happen. It has been in development hell for years and so even just seeing Holland in the Nate garb is a real positive step. I am also pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t a huge fan of the casting when the news initially came out. But seeing is believing and I am excited to see what they show off next.

Sony Confirms PS5 Media Apps

Sony has now confirmed the media apps we will see on PlayStation 5 at launch. Most of the big hitters are present and accounted for, although there are a couple of notable absentees. Apple TV, Disney+, Netflix, Spotify, Twitch, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, MyCanal, Hulu and Peacock will all be available when the console launches, however, there has been no confirmation on the likes of BBC iPlayer and HBO Max – two big platforms from either side of the pond.

Our Take: It’s nice to see these media apps confirmed, but it’s not really a huge surprise. BBC iPlayer not being mentioned does seem a little strange, but I have no doubt it will be added in before long. It will be really interesting to see if the picture-in-picture feature that Sony showed off during the PlayStation 5 UX reveal will work with these media apps. That would be a really cool feature.
