Terminator: Resistance Is Getting A Surprising Free PS5 Upgrade

1 Min Read

To the surprise of everyone, publisher Reef Entertainment has announced via Twttier that their 2019 first-person shooter Terminator: Resistance will be getting a free PS5 upgrade and it is coming with a host of improvements.

Once the PlayStation 5 version is released the game will run at 4K at 60fps. It will utilise the DualSense controllers haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, as well as the fast loading via the consoles SSD. There is also a new Infiltrator mode that will debut as well. The PlayStation 5 version is set to launch on March 26th, 2021 and will be free for anyone who owns the PlayStation 4 version.

Our Take: Free upgrades are always appreciated, but this one does seem a little out of left field. The game released to middling scores at best, garnering a 47 on Metacritic without a single positive critic review. Hopefully, we see more developers releasing updates to their games, especially adding DualSense support.
