On Tuesday we reported that a tweet from PlayStation quoting a Burger King post may be related to a PlayStation 5 UI reveal. As it turns out that was right on the money. This morning in a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony released an 11 minute video showing off some of the cool new features. You can view that video below;
Our Take: It’s an evolution rather than a revolution as we expected. From what I can see though all changes and additions are positive. Smaller tiles will allow better game backgrounds and more screen space the games. Media apps having their own tab was an obvious addition, but I’m glad to see it’s definitely happening. I also really liked the PlayStation game help, where videos can be brought up picture-in-picture.
