Welcome back everyone to episode FOUR of the Elite League in PES 2018 with Celtic. We finished episode three with a close fought game against Ajax – eventually coming away 4-3 winners. This left us in second place but only by virtue of goal difference. Next up is Juventus which is certain to be a tall order. Luckily I have my best XI available and ready to go. Below are the highlights and stats.
I was worried going into this one but a win and a clean sheet is an excellent result. The team is starting to gel quicker than I thought and I’m scoring plenty of goals. Anyone can beat anyone in this league though so full focus required going forward.
Valencia come to town next and they are not in the best of form. I have made a few changes bringing in Zagadou, Douglas Pereira, Armstrong and Oliver Burke for Kehrer, Toure, Renato Sanches and Forrest. Let’s see how it unfolds.
Leading the game twice and still losing is ridiculous and should never happen. The opener was an excellent first time strike from Douglas Pereira so the one plus coming out the game is that he looks like a decent deputy to Toure at right back. Since Barcelona also lost (1-0 at home to Real Madrid) I’m still joint top of the league. Massive improvements needed for the next game.
The final game of episode 4 is away to Roma who are flying high in 7th place coming in to this one despite a 3-1 loss to Bayern last time out. The team have had a week to recover from the disappointment against Valencia so I have set out the strongest XI. Below are all the stats and highlights.
At the beginning of the season I wouldn’t have called a point away at Roma a disappointment but it feels like the team is going back the way at the moment. We had the better of the play but couldn’t convert the chances and in truth it was a poor match. The draw leaves me 2pts behind leaders Barcelona in second place.
That will wrap up episode 4. Next time we have league matches against PSG, Monaco and Man Utd. Stay tuned for more live stream content as well! Until then hit me up in the comments or on Twitter @VizualDze.
