Top 5 Picks From the EU Remasters & Retro PSN Sale

2 Min Read

There is currently a ‘Remasters & Retro’ sale on the EU PSN store. Sometimes these sales can be a little overwhelming with so much to choose from, so I thought I would break down my top 5 picks from what’s available. I will explain each choice, but these are taking into account both enjoyment of the game and value for money. So I may not necessarily have chosen the best overall game if the sale price isn’t as enticing as others and vice-versa with the price being amazing but the game just being alright.

Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection – £14.39

This is an excellent price for a triple helping of Assassin’s Creed goodness. The Ezio collection comes packing Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood and Revelations. These games may feel a little dated to first-time players but if you have a love for the series it’s a must buy.

Batman Arkham Collection – £16.49

Another triple pack. This one contains Arkham Asylum, City and Knight. The first two are remastered ports of the PlayStation 3 versions, while Knight is unchanged from it’s PlayStation 4 release. All three games hold up superbly and stand on their own merits. If you are a Batman fan or a fan of third-person action games in general you can’t go wrong with this purchase.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition – £3.74

This is a recommendation I have given out before. Sleeping Dogs was one of my favourite games on PlayStation 3. It’s far from perfect, but it’s just so much fun. £3.74 for a twenty-hour open-world game is excellent value as well. It’s my favourite combat in an open world GTA style game.

Resident Evil – £3.99

At this stage, we have a lot of gamers who will be aware of the Resident Evil franchise but haven’t actually played the original. You can now fix this deep, dark secret before anyone knows – and for only £3.99. This is a really important game in the history of PlayStation and one that should be in everyone’s collection.

Mark of the Ninja Remastered – £3.99

I feel like Mark of the Ninja is highly overlooked on PlayStation 4. Originally released as an Xbox Arcade game on the 360, it only actually became available on Sony’s platform in 2018 with the release of the remaster. Stealth in 2D can be difficult to pull off, but Klei Entertainment has pulled it off with razor-sharp precision.

Those are my picks for the top five picks from the current sale. What are you picking up? What would your top recommendations be? Let me know on Twitter @VizualDze. Take care, everyone!

Will play almost anything, although particularly partial to anything involving stealth and silenced pistols. Football game enthusiast. RIP PES.
