The FIFA 21 beta launched today, with the lucky few that have been chosen able to sample the game and provide valuable feedback before the full launch. This also tends to start all the rumours and speculation on when the demo will be available to the public at large. Well the unfortunate answer is – not soon.

Typically we receive the demo around two weeks before the games official launch. Due to COVID-19 delays, FIFA 21 won’t launch until October 6th, 2020. That means we can most likely expect to see a demo drop on September 22nd/23rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A next-gen version is set to release as a free upgrade likely on the launch day of both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

FIFA 21 Career Mode Trailer

In terms of content I wouldn’t expect any major changes from previous demos. You’ll get a handful of teams and historically two stadiums to mess around with in very short matches. Thankfully if you play on PC there is usually a mod available within hours to extend this time and let you get a better feel for the game.

Keep an eye on this post and I will update it with any FIFA 21 demo related news as and when it arrives. We will also have hands-on impressions and videos of the gameplay from the demo and what it means for FIFA over the next year. We will also do with same with EA’s competitor eFootball PES 2020 should they opt to distribute a demo for their season update patch.
